I just finished reading this wonderfully written and heartwarming story about a woman’s historic family roots here in Greenpoint on Brooklyn Before Now and I strongly suggest you head over and read it, too. It’s wonderful.

My Polish ancestors lived in Brooklyn before going northeast to New England, this has inspired me to try to track down where they lived. We still find items in storage that were passed down stamped with business addresses in Brooklyn.
